3 Arena is best accessed by the LUAS which you can take from Smithfield square right next to the hotel and it will drop you right outside the 3Arena. The 3Arena is a stunning, state of the art entertainment venue with the kind of world-class acoustics that great music deserves.

Bord Gáis Energy Theatre

Bord Gáis Energy Theatre has the capacity to seat over 2,000 people in the purpose built theatre. The theatre is located in Grand Canal Square Dublin and since opening it has played host to some of the most prestigious international acts. The Bord Gáis Energy Theatre is located 3km from Maldron Hotel Smithfield and is a 15 minute taxi journey away.

The Convention Centre Dublin (The CCD)

The Convention Centre Dublin (The CCD) is Ireland’s first purpose-built convention centre, located in Spencer Dock. The CCD plays host to some of the world’s most affluent conferences and exhibitions. Located 3 km from Maldron Hotel Smithfield, the best transport option is the LUAS which you can take from Smithfield square right next to the hotel and it will drop you right outside the CCD.

  • How far is it to walk from the hotel to the Luas stop?

    The Smithfield Luas stop on Red Line is located 2 minutes from the hotel. Grangegorman Luas stop on Green Line is located less than ten minutes from the hotel.

  • Is parking available at the hotel?

    For your convenience, the multi-storey car-park adjoining Maldron Hotel Smithfield can be accessed from Queen Street and hotel residents receive special discounted parking rates from just €15.00 for 24 hours. Full details here.

  • What time is check in?

    Check-in is officially from 14:00. Earlier check-in is subject to room availability. For this reason, the only way to guarantee early check-in is to book the room from the day prior to arrival. If it is not possible to check-in earlier than 14:00, our guests may leave luggage with our front office team at the reception area.

  • What time is check out?

    Check-out is 12:00 noon.

  • What are the times for breakfast?

    Breakfast is served from Monday to Friday from 7.00am – 10.00am and Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday Mondays from 8.00am – 11.00am.

  • Do room rates include breakfast?

    Maldron Hotel Smithfield offers both room only and bed & breakfast rates. Room only rates do not include breakfast.

  • What time is dinner served from in the restaurant?

    Dinner is served in our restaurant from 6.00pm – 9.00pm Monday – Sunday. We have an early bird menu available from 5.30pm until 7.30pm. Bookings are not required, however, to avoid disappointment you can make a booking at reception.

  • What are the room rates at Maldron Hotel Smithfield?

    Room rates vary from season to season, day to day and for special events. All room rates quotes include taxes and charges. For the best available rate always book directly with Maldron Hotel Smithfield.

  • What does our “no show” policy entail?

    If you do not show on the day of your booking, you will be charged the full amount for your first night’s stay. If you have booked our “advanced purchase” or “prepay and save” rates, you will incur a 100% penalty charge for the entire duration of your stay.

  • Do bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms?

    Yes, all bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms.

  • Does the hotel provide a hairdryer in the rooms?

    All our rooms have hairdryers for guests use.

  • Are there toiletries available in the rooms?

    All 92 of our rooms have shower gel and shampoo provided in the bathrooms.

  • Is the hotel wheelchair accessible?

    Yes, the Maldron Hotel Smithfield is wheelchair accessible and we offer five fully accessible wheelchair rooms.

  • Is the hotel a non-smoking hotel?

    Yes, all bedrooms at Maldron Hotel Smithfield are completely non-smoking. We do have a designated outdoor smoking area at the front of the hotel to accommodate guests who smoke. A deep cleaning fee will be charged to guests who are found to be in breach of our no smoking policy.
